Mesa, AZ – Vocalists, instrumentalists and those interested in the music industry are invited to participate in the Music & Music Business Seminar, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Dec. 18 and 19 at the Phoenix Mesa Marriott, 200 N. Centennial Way in Mesa. The seminar also includes a concert Saturday evening, as well as personal auditions and individualized feedback with renowned artists Marvin Goldstein and Randy Kartchner.
The cost is $160 per attendee for those who sign up before Nov. 30 and $200 after that date. Participants will learn about the various aspects of the music business from industry professionals in a values-based, family atmosphere.
The Seminar experts include: Kartchner, a seasoned producer, song-writer, arranger and orchestrator; and Goldstein, a highly acclaimed pianist, arranger and entertainer.
Seminar topics will include: The Purpose of Music; The Music Business for an Independent Performer; Arranging Music and Accompanying Vocalists; Performing and Entertaining and The Role of Music Theory, Reading and Improvisation. Lunch is provided.

But young artists also need to know how to sort through the various choices available to them in the music industry,” said Cory Ellsworth, promoter of the seminar and the special All I Want for Christmas concert at the Mesa Arts Center. “We wanted to create a learning environment where the performer, their music, and their approach to the business of music are all congruent with their values.”
